Linda Peterson, top award winning DFW Real Estate Specialist with Century 21 Mike Bowman Inc. once again soared to new heights in her real estate career. 20 years ago, Peterson began her career with enthusiasm, courage, expectations and high goals. At the recent Century 21 International Convention held in San Antonio, Texas, Peterson was recognized as the No. 8 agent in the Century 21 system of over 110,000 agents worldwide for number of closed transactions. Peterson earned the coveted title of Grand Centurion, having closed more than $40 Million in sales volume and 152 property closings for the year 2001. Every year Peterson has set high goals for herself, reached them and then set even higher goals for the next year. Her standards of service, diversity and professionalism are unsurpassed. "It is an honor to have such a quality professional as a member of our firm. We are very excited about her extraordinary achievements, not only within our firm but also her international recognition." stated Mike Bowman, president of Century 21 Mike Bowman Inc. "Linda has been the top overall in sales productions since 1995 for our firm. In the past six years Linda listed 858 properties for a total sales volume of $215,272,081 and she has closed 845 properties for a total of $159,453,800 in sales volume."
This is only accomplished by providing service that is better than expected for her buyers and sellers and by being a team player in the Century 21 Mike Bowman Inc. organization. Peterson is a model real estate professional who leads by example and who is a highly motivated team player providing extraordinary services.
After graduation from the University of Wisconsin, Peterson entered the work force with an advertising company and produced television commercials for major national accounts as United Way. She then joined forces with two associates and opened an advertising production company and modeling agency. Among their accomplishments were national Variety Club telethons, coaching numerous television, movie and radio personalities including a past Miss America, and casting for the movie, Major League. Peterson also worked with political and government candidates. In 1986, her husband, Dick, was transferred. Peterson sold her companies, and with their two children, the family moved to Texas.
"I decided to start a new career when we moved to Texas, and real estate seemed to fit my needs," Peterson said. "With this advertising and marketing skills from my previous businesses and the opportunities I saw in the industry, it just seemed like the right thing to do."
"Diversity is the real key to helping my customers. If they are looking to sell or buy a previously owned home, a new home, an apartment building, land for development or just a lotto build on, all my customers get full service in any price range. Going the extra mile is sometimes not enough. Sometimes it may mean having a home cleaned for a customer, unlocking a door for the homeowner who locked themselves out or completing a contract at 1 a.m. for a customer leaving town. I just try to do what it takes."
With the support of her family, hard work and perseverance, Peterson, an esteemed DFW Real Estate Specialist, has truly established herself as one of the leading Realtors in the world. Peterson co-hosts the KRLD homebuyers radio program, helping first-time homebuyers understand the purchasing process, does extensive print marketing in multiple publications and has found that virtual tours on her personal website are a successful marketing tool.
Peterson has also been supportive of the musical arts over the past several years and has been a mentor for new agents, helping them achieve their goals in real estate.
